Mission Statement
Seward County Community College/Area Technical School will provide opportunities to improve and enhance each person’s life through a variety of higher education programs and related services for the development of better futures.

Student Information
Degrees and Certificates
SCCC/ATS offers the first two years toward a bachelor's or higher degree through its Associate in Science and Associate in Arts degrees or its Associate in General Studies degree for the undecided student; a two-year Associate in Applied Science degree; or a Certificate of Completion, which can be completed in one or two years. Both credit and non-credit courses are offered through the Business and Industry program that contribute to the workforce development of the citizens in Southwest Kansas, the Oklahoma Panhandle, and the Texas Panhandle. Various community education courses are offered each semester to meet the educational, cultural, leisure and recreational needs of the community.
An extensive program of Out Reach Courses and Concurrent Courses are also offered each semester in Liberal and the surrounding communities.
SCCC/ATS participates in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Athletic Conference with teams in men's and women's basketball and tennis, men's baseball, and women's volleyball and softball. The college's colors are GREEN & WHITE and the college nickname is the SAINTS. A wide variety of student organizations are available for students to participate in, as well as a full program of student activities and intramural activities.
